Spongebob Mac n' Cheese
The other day I ate Spongebob mac n' cheese. There are so many things to be said about advertisement of this product. First of all, Kraft and Nickelodeon have cross advertised food and a cartoon character. Spongebob, well known, is in shapes of pasta that will attract kids (and older kids like me who are still fans- I'm not the only one) to want to buy this mac n' cheese because it is fun and playful. Also, Kraft mac n' cheese is the only brand of mac n'cheese that seems to do these popular characters, thus it is an exclusive item for Kraft, which is great for their advertising. The front of the box has a fun picture of Spongebob and his characters that are the shapes of the macaroni. Also, on the back of the box is a collectable trading card; there are 3 in total, which is a great advertising strategy (as learned in our earlier readings) to entice kids to want to collect all three, and thus buy more mac n' cheese.

This is pretty cool i like how they not only show Spongebob, but they also try to make him look more appealing with those glasses. I think it work.
ReplyDeleteI like how that the mac n'cheese is relating to television shows that children enjoy watching. Not only do they have Spongebob shaped pasta but they also have other cartoon characters such as Scooby Doo.
