Jeep/Red Bull

Jeep's events allow for everyday people to test out Jeep's power and ability. The events not only allow the customer to just buy an ordinary car, but to buy a car that should be experienced, and a person can have fun in.

Another company that totally reminded me of this is Red's Bulls Flugtag. Red Bull's slogan is "it gives you wiiiiings" and so they've added a summer event Flugtag campaign. Flugtag, as it is listed on the site, "Red Bull Flugtag challenges teams of everyday people to build homemade, human-powered flying machines and pilot them off a 30-foot high deck in hopes of achieving flight! Flugtag may mean "flying day" in German, but all these crafts ultimately splash into the waters below. They are judged not only on their flight's distance, but creativity and showmanship as well." It develops a relationship with the customer in giving them hope, somewhat, that if they drink Red Bull, and attempt to fly the machine, they will have physical wings from their machine as well as imaginary help from Red Bull's energy drink. It allows for a fun time and also allows for their slogan to have some meaning behind it. Also, because it is a competition, and it requires skill, it allows for people to create these cool flying machines, which no other company in the world hosts or ever thought of.

Although Red Bull's Flugtag doesn't involve people making something out of Red Bull itself, it allows for experience and have the brand's message/mission statement come alive and be experienced.

  1. I think redbull's event is real good because it makes people come together to build a craft. Then when they get to the event they can compare their crafts to the other crafts. People love to go and watch it as much as they enjoy being a part of the competition which makes people associate redbull with good feeling.

  2. Red Bull definitely knows it's target audience and they have done well in that aspect.

  3. The event is good because it distinguishes redbull from other energy drinks. No other company is going to have a competition to see who can attempt to fly while supplying an infinite amount of crack in a can
