I think this ad is ineffective because it's for a candy bar on the side of the bus. It's not going to make me stop what I'm doing and grab a snicker's bar, and it's not going to make me remember it later in the day.
The ad is ineffective because it says nothing about snickers and you would not know what they were trying to advertise if you did not know the campaign.
I agree with Trevor. Although a lot of people recognize the font and colors of Snickers, however, no where does this ad show a product or the name of a product of some kind, thus will not be effective in attaining new customers. Someone may just think this is a funny ad. This ad can be improved by showing the product or at least the name of the product. Also, if they used better references. This ad just left me asking what is "hungerectomy" and what am I supposed to do with it.
I feel that Snickers should've completely rethought their entire marketing campaign because this is a pretty stupid idea. Drop the word play gimmick altogether.
