An organization I found that does similar tactics is the New York Giants. The New York Giants are moving into a brand new stadium, The Meadowlands, therefore they are really trying to grab your attention when you log on to their website. They offer you videos of there mini camp practices just to see how the team is progressing. They have the roster, schedule, shop, etc. but the thing that caught my eye that shows how they want reinforce customer relationships is the headline/link that reads "You Belong in the Company of the New York Giants".
You click there and it shows you images of their new stadium and what it offers the fans. They play powerful macho music to put you in the mood for watching some football. They show you offers on purchasing tickets to the new stadium. If you aren't too familiar with this franchise, the New York giants are a class organization and a traditional football team. They play in New york (New Jersey actually, but bear with me), they understand that their fans are high demanding and loyal. Most NFL teams, especially the Giants, aim to please their customers and fans to keep them coming back
Just like Jeep.
I think it's good their website has something specifically for the fans wanting to know more about the Giants and not just watch the games. Showing fans what the new stadium can offer them is a great idea because not many know about it and it makes you feel like they're telling the information to you because you individually mean something to the team. Also offers on tickets is a great idea because they're expensive for football.
ReplyDeleteHaving video updates is a great way to get personal with fans or even brands. It allows for "backstage" or a reality behind such a well known, popular brand. It makes the customer believe they are right there, with the construction or the players and to get excited about new things to come. I see this all the time with bands coming out with new albums or going on tour. It really allows the fan or customer to see a side of the brand or band in a way people couldn't before.
ReplyDeleteThe videos do really help them connect with their fan base. It allows their supporters to actually see what i going on, and makes them feel a little more connected.
