  1. Very good idea considering the amount of people it is available to, as well as the simplicity of the application

  2. This article is interesting because facebook is not only a social medium, but becoming an advertising medium as well and the Disney corporation is taking advantage of that. Since a lot of Facebook users will be seeing Toy Story 3, Disney is making it convenient for the users to buy tickets right there. As the article says, buying tickets to movies may be changing because of social media. With over 732,000 followers, it can be said that this type of marketing and advertising can be of success. Look at Betty White; she got to host SNL a few weeks ago because over 500,000 people supported the group to get Betty White on SNL. With thousands of people joining these groups, advertising companies can see data of people who voluntarily like certain product and get customer feedback and run with that. I think this is great that Disney is providing this application because personally I can spend hours on facebook and if I want to go to a movie, I will be able to just buy tickets right on my favorite social medium and at the same time put it in my news feed and get instant feedback from people to see if they want to join me.
